Pelinica House, tradition and a spectacular view

Pelinica House was built at the end of the 19th century on a stone foundation with walls made of fir beams and a hipped roof covered with slate. The entrance to the house is through a median curtain that communicates with two rooms: the "small room" (living room) and the "large room" or "large house" (guest room).

The pantry, which was originally located at the back and along the entire length of the house, has been replaced by a kitchen and a bathroom, furnished using pieces of furniture specific to the same period with a touch of modernism, necessary for a minimum of contemporary comfort.

In each of the rooms, various categories of objects are brought together to illustrate the socio-economic and cultural specifics of the owner and implicitly of the area. Among the pieces of furniture of the "small room" are the wooden beds, the table with the low chairs and the "blidar" for dishes. In the same room, there are fabrics with a functional and decorative role - wool and hemp barks, as well as cotton wipes.

The "great room" is characterized by a festive aspect, emphasized by the whole set of objects and pieces of furniture: the high table, the dowry chest, decorative fabrics "napkins" and pieces of popular wear exposed on the "sole".

The various tools present in the "hall" reflect the occupations of the inhabitants, who, in parallel with agriculture and cattle breeding, also worked in the forest. This activity is represented by specific tools, made of iron with a wooden handle, intended to complete the image of the traditional way of life in this old settlement.

The house is only rented as a whole and is ideal for two couples or a family with two children. We offer you two rooms each with two single beds, a bathroom and a kitchen. A fifth single bed is available in the kitchen if the family consists of 5 members. Additional beds are not possible.

The kitchen is equipped with the bare essentials, crockery, cutlery, toaster, coffee maker, a small fridge and an electric stove. Hot water in the kitchen and bathroom is provided by instant electric heaters. We also provide towels for each customer.

The location has a barbecue and a table in the yard. The parking lot is located approximately 150 m from the house, access by car is not possible to the property.

Heating is done by electric convectors in the bathroom, kitchen and one of the rooms, while in the second room, heating is done by a terracotta stove.

Unfortunately, the location does not have an internet connection or TV networks.
