Chira House, a beautiful traditional house

Chira House is a traditional building in the heart of hospitable Maramureș, located in the village of Vișeu de Sus, on the banks of the Vaser river, and awaits you with its doors wide open, to enjoy the Romanian lifestyle of the past, described by good cheer, traditions and delicious food.

We wanted to start the description with the famous phrase "once upon a time", but we realized that we are not in a story, but at Chira House, a real place that embodies the beauty of authentic Romanian traditions and values.

Once you enter the gate of the unit, you will feel the love of the host in every corner of the property and only then will you realize that the small details really make a difference. The courtyard is full of nature, beautifully landscaped and provided with the necessary facilities for total relaxation.

When you reach the interior spaces, you will find with joy that everything is carefully prepared and adapted for the new type of tourist, the modern tourist, who no matter where he will travel, will feel the need for comfort, good accommodation conditions and hospitality from the host.

Casa Chira has a total capacity of 14 people and has one suite-type room and 6 double rooms, living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, barbecue area, relaxation area with a garden, terrace, garden full of nature and private parking.

In the area there are many tourist attractions worth visiting, so we will point out only the most important and closest to Chira House. 

Among them, we mention Mocănița (1.5 km), the Church of Ieud, the oldest wooden church in Maramureș (23.9 km), Lake Iezer (28.6 km), Bârsana Monastery (39.3 km), The Horses Waterfall, with the largest waterfall in Romania (51.7 km), the Maramureșan Village Museum (57.9 km), the Memorial to the Victims of Communism and Resistance (61 km), The Happy Cemetery in Săpânța (78.6 km), Peri Săpânta Monastery (79.3 km) or Blue Lake (110 km).

Also, in the area you can go hiking in nature through the Rodna National Park, the Cornu Nedeii Reserve or the Blue Spring of Izei, on marked tourist trails.

The accommodation unit is rented for a minimum stay of 2 (two) nights.

Having said all this, Chira House is waiting for you to spend a holiday like in the stories, but in the real and welcoming lands of Maramureș.
