Bucin Cabin - a wonderful place in Harghita

Love for this landscape and respect for traditions led us to renovate this over 100-year-old building and open it to travelers from everywhere. Our guest house, housed in a more than 100-year-old building, is located in Transylvania, in Pasul Bucin, in a picturesque setting in the Gurghiului Mountains, on the border of Mureș and Harghita counties. Located at a distance of only 18 km from Praid, 30 km from Sovata and 26 km from the city of Gheorgheni, the location offers numerous possibilities for spending time at any time of the year, both for children and adults.

Guests will find here a cabin with 7 rooms, 4 separate cottages in the courtyard of the cabin, Sauna Village with 4 different types of sauna and 2 heated saunas. The 7 rooms of the cabin each have a double matrimonial bed, an extendable sofa and private bathroom, and can accommodate a maximum of 26 people.

At the same time, on the ground floor there is a common space composed of a spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The terrace has a superb view and descends to a large courtyard with hedgerows, seasonal plants, barbecue area, cauldron, children's playground. The area is sheltered from the wind and benefits from the sun's rays throughout the day.

A small sauna complex was also built near the cabin, which bears the name Sauna Village and invites guests to relax with the 4 types of sauna, steam room and the peace and relaxation room.

The property with an area of 7000 square meters offers physical and mental recreation, and for those who prefer active relaxation, we offer different programs depending on the season. We hope that we have managed to arouse your interest in our cottage and that we will have the opportunity to show you as soon as possible all the activities that we offer for an active relaxation or family vacation.

The cabin was built around 1900, on a hewn stone foundation, in the technique and with the materials characteristic of those times, being used by foresters. In 2016, the building was completely renovated, so that today we await our guests with traditional hospitality, in modern comfort. In the yard there are also 4 cottages, which offer the privacy conditions suitable for guests who prefer to relax in a more secluded setting.

Because Bucin Cabin uses energy independently and ecologically, through solar panels (there being no electricity, gas in this area), you cannot use coffee machines, microwaves, etc.

If you wish to use high consumption electrical devices please ask the staff to start the backup generators. Otherwise, the use of large consumers will lead to the interruption of the electricity supply.
